The Supreme Court has granted Saif Ali Khan and the Pataudi family relief in their decades-old dispute over the private estate of Nawab Hamidullah Khan, the last ruler of Bhopal. The stay on the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s remand order keeps the royal inheritance battle alive — and the family’s legacy in legal limbo.
The SC has issued notice in the matter and posted it for further hearing.
The dispute began in 1999 when extended family members of the Nawab sought partition and possession of the royal estate.
