Rani Mukerji to make a full-fledged comeback
She’s got two back-to-back projects and another in the pipeline
Marriage and motherhood may have slowed down Rani Mukerji’s career, but this year, the actress is making a full-fledged comeback, with two back-to-back projects. The first one is the third instalment of her Mardaani series. Mardani 3 will be released in February 2027. And she will begin shooting for another film – Oh My Goddess – in which she plays the title role, in March.
A third project, to be helmed by her favourite filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is in the process of being locked-in.
A close family friend of Rani and her husband Aditya Chopra reveals, “Rani was always very clear on her priorities as a mother: no professional commitments until their daughter Adira is 4. Thereafter, only selected projects and only when Adi was home to do the babysitting. Now that Adira is 9 and has her own life, Rani will be working full time.
