Rajkummar Rao Raises Remuneration To Rs 5 crore
“I’ll only do lead roles now,” says the actor
Rajkummar Rao has reportedly raised his fee to Rs 5 crore. A well informed source revealed that he is turning down offers that don’t match his asking rate. “Raj is saying no to numerous offers for monetary reasons, and why not? Stree 2 is perhaps the biggest blockbuster of all time. He has rightly raised his remuneration to Rs 5 crore,” the source said. One of the recent projects the actor turned down on the basis of remuneration was Vikas Bahl’s Darwaza. The role has now gone to Siddhant Chaturvedi, who agreed to a much lower fee.
“I have to admit my volume of work has increased. So has my remuneration. I am consciously trying not to do smaller parts. I will only do lead roles now. But if someone offers me Satya, I’d agree to play Bhiku Mhatre instead of the title role,” Rajkummar said.
Currently, Rajkummar says he is content. “I am in Hindi cinema at just the right time. Five years ago I wouldn’t have got a Shahid or CityLights. I am happy I am getting the kind of roles I want. I think I will take time off for myself before I start shooting for my next film.”
