Prerna To Set Up Studio In Hyderabad

Producer Prerna Arora plans to build her own studio in Hyderabad, calling the Telugu film industry the “fulcrum of Indian movie-making” and her “favourite filmmaking location.”

She envisions a facility in or around the city for “audience-friendly cinema” not Telugu or Hindi where filmmakers from both industries can shoot without hassle. “To me the Telugu film industry has always served as a model of how a film should be made,” Arora said.

She praised its time-oriented work culture: “Nobody wastes time. Stars don’t charge rates that are through the roof. They come on time and do their work quietly.” Her last film was shot in Hyderabad with Telugu actors, and she’s currently filming another there.
