Diljit Dosanjh is all set to make his Met Gala debut in 2025, and he’s doing it the only way he knows how — with a side of sarcasm and a full plate of humour. The singer-actor, known for his deadpan delivery, posted a video flashing his invite, noting that it’s “non-transferable” and “strictly for one person.” His Punjabi punchline? “Per person, per plate da hisaab hai.”
Taking to Instagram, Diljit shared a video of himself in a hotel room talking about the Met Gala 2025 invite.
In his signature style of humour, Diljit tells friends not to send him wedding invites anymore as he now has an even more prestigious invite. He reads out the invite, shows off its cover, and talks about the event’s theme — Black Dandyism.
In a hilarious bit, he read out that photography is prohibited at the event. “Can’t make reels,” he quipped in Punjabi. He also added that the invite was restricted to one person. “Per person, per plate da hisaab hai (It’s a per person, per plate scenario),” he added. Word is, he’ll be donning Prabal Gurung.
