Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG2’ on Hold

After the debacle of Ustaad Bhagat Singh earlier this year, ‘Power Star’ Pawan Kalyan is taking no chances. He has put the sequel of his 2025 film OG on hold until the script is irreproachable. Multiple sources in Hyderabad say this is part of the actor-politician’s new strategy for his film career — he won’t shift from script to shooting until he is absolutely confident of the screenplay.

Pawan Kalyan and director Sujeeth are actively developing They Call Him OG 2 currently. The project follows the massive box office success of the first film, They Call Him OG.

“Pawan Sir wants OG 2 to go beyond the first film. Otherwise, he sees no point in going ahead with a sequel. Until the script hits bull’s eye the project is on hold,” says a source. Filming is expected to commence after November 2026. This timeline accommodates Pawan Kalyan’s many duties as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
