Nikhil Bhat To Direct Jamie Foxx

After the global success of Kill, director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat is heading to Hollywood. Bhat will direct Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx in Deadlocked, a hostage action thriller for Amazon MGM Studios. The project marks the first time an Indian filmmaker will direct a mainstream Hollywood A-lister.

Foxx, who won the Oscar for Ray and is also known for playing Electro in the Spider-Man films, is producing the film through Foxxhole Productions with Range Media Partners and C2 Motion Picture Group. His daughter, Corinne Foxx, serves as executive producer.

The screenplay is by Eric Scot Anderson and Matt Takejiro Bosack, based on their original story.
