After Thandel, actor Naga Chaitanya is set to team up with Virupaksha director Karthik Dandu for a socio-fantasy entertainer. Lavish palace and cave sets have already been erected in Hyderabad, with the film shaping up to be the most expensive project of Chaitanya’s career.

“It has mythological connections and requires elaborate sets, pushing the budget close to Rs 80 crore,” reveals a source. “The film is designed as a pan-India project, centered around a mystical treasure hunt and packed with thrilling moments.”

For Chaitanya, the project promises a major image makeover. Known for his boy-next-door and romantic roles in Love Story and Majili, he will now be showcased in a larger-than-life avatar. “Fans will be surprised to see a new dimension of Naga Chaitanya on screen,” the source adds.

Karthik Dandu, who impressed with his eerie black-magic mystery Virupaksha, is now expanding his creative canvas with this socio-fantasy tale. The project has strong backing, with director Sukumar co-producing the film and reportedly impressed by its novel concept and grand scale.
