Jr NTR Back on Set
After six-week break for shoulder surgery, the RRR star resumes Dragon this month-end
Jr NTR is set to resume shooting for his highly anticipated film, Dragon, by the end of this month. Filming had come to a temporary halt after the actor suffered a minor shoulder injury.
Following arthroscopic surgery in August, he completed a six-week recovery and physiotherapy routine to get back in shape. During his rehabilitation, director Prashanth Neel continued filming childhood sequences and portions not requiring NTR, to keep the project on track.
Jr NTR underwent a successful surgery on August 12, 2026, at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad. While the film’s Sri Lanka schedule had to be temporarily rearranged, production continued with other artistes. The makers have confirmed the film remains on track for its June 11, 2027 theatrical release.
