Virat Kohli's retirement from Test cricket has left his fans disappointed. As everyone missed him on the field, he had not made any statement on his retirement till now. However, at an event organised by former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh to raise funds for the YouWeCan Foundation in London, the former India captain explained the reason behind his retirement in a humorous way. He said he knew that it was the time to retire from the frequency of colouring his beard. I coloured my beard two days ago, he said, adding that he knew it was time because he was colouring his beard every four days.

This is the first time the Chase Master has spoken about his retirement. He played Test cricket for 14 years, making 9230 runs in 123 matches at an average of 46.85.
