HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath has given the agency’s Janmashtami greeting a rather dramatic makeover. Invoking Lord Krishna and the Bhagavad Gita’s promise to restore Dharma, the poster presents HYDRAA as a protector of Hyderabad’s lakes and environment. An excavator beside a pristine waterbody drives the message home. The slogan? “Safe lakes. Green environment. Flood-free Hyderabad.” Subtle it isn’t. Comparing a civic agency’s environmental mission with Krishna’s divine intervention certainly gives this festive greeting an unusually epic touch.
