In a setback for Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar, nearly 120 crew members of Dhurandhar were hospitalised in Leh after a mass food poisoning incident. The episode unfolded on Sunday evening after dinner, when several crew members complained of nausea, stomach pain and headaches. They were rushed to SNM Hospital and are currently under medical care.

Sources said that of the 600-member unit stationed in Leh, around 120 have fallen ill. “The incident is under investigation. Film crews often hire outstation caterers, and this could be a case of stale food or an ingredient reacting adversely. Food samples have been sent for testing,” a source said.

The incident has disrupted the film’s final shooting schedule and raised concerns about safety and health standards on large productions.

Billed as one of 2025’s biggest releases, Dhurandhar marks Ranveer Singh’s much-awaited return to the big screen. Its first look, unveiled earlier this year, drew widespread attention and set high expectations.
