Salman Khan, who has spent years fighting legal battles related to the black buck poaching case, may now have to contend with a film based on the controversy.
Titled Kaala Hiran, the film is based on the 1998 black buck case.
According to sources, the film reportedly is on the alleged black buck hunting incident, the courtroom drama that followed, Khan’s arrest, and the infamous feud between the actor and Lawrence Bishnoi.
The film has reportedly been shot at several locations in Uttar Pradesh, including Sambhal and Moradabad.
For the unversed, the case dates back to 1998, when Salman Khan was in Jodhpur shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s Hum Saath Saath Hain. He and some of his co-stars were accused of hunting blackbucks, a rare species of the deer. Sources say Salman may now approach the courts to stop the film’s release.
