During her arrival at a theatre festival, Farah was greeted by venue organisers and hotel staff with a welcome. However, when a staff member stepped forward to apply the customary tilak to her forehead, the Main Hoon Na director politely stopped her and requested that the mark be placed on her hand or wrist instead, which she then accepted.
The brief interaction quickly went viral, sparking heavy trolling from a section of netizens who accused her of disrespecting Hindu customs. Some critics even dragged in communal angles. But Farah also found strong support online! Many fans came to her defence, arguing that everyone has the right to decide in religious rituals.
