A brief moment of concern arose at the pre-release event of The Raja Saab when a fan managed to get close to superstar Prabhas on stage despite a heavy security presence. Event organisers, however, clarified that there was no security lapse and that no untoward incident occurred.
“It was unexpected, but it was not a security failure,” said a source associated with the event management team. “Over 100 bouncers were deployed, anticipating massive crowds as Prabhas was appearing on stage after a long gap. The safety of both the stars and fans was our top priority.”
Earlier, the producers and event managers had explained their choice of venue through a social media post. After assessing several large venues across Hyderabad, Kaithalapur Grounds in Kukatpally was selected as the safest and most feasible option. Official permission was granted for 8,000 attendees, keeping security protocols, venue logistics and public safety in mind.
Despite repeated appeals from the makers for fans to attend only with valid passes, the turnout exceeded expectations. The crowd reportedly swelled to over 12,000, with around 10,000 fans accommodated inside the venue and several thousand gathering outside in the hope of catching a glimpse of the stars. “Overall, the event proceeded smoothly without any untoward incident,” the source added.
Undeterred by the minor disruption, Prabhas addressed the gathering with his trademark warmth and energy. “Darlings, how are you?” he greeted the crowd, adding with a smile, “I kept this ponytail for you fans.” He thanked them for braving the cold weather and expressed gratitude to his collaborators.
Prabhas acknowledged Hindi distributor Anil Thadani for his continued support and described Sanjay Dutt as the show-stealer of The Raja Saab. He also praised actresses Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar and Malavika Mohanan, noting that they worked on the film for over two years.
Speaking about producer T.G. Vishwaprasad, Prabhas said the project took nearly three years to complete. “The producer is the real hero of this film. He remained fearless and confident throughout, patiently waiting despite rising budgets and shooting costs,” he said.
