Dulquer Is like a Brother to Me, Says Swapna Dutt

Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan is known for being highly selective about his projects, but when it comes to producer Swapna Dutt, he is always ready to say “yes.” After a cameo in Kalki 2898 AD, the actor returns with another guest appearance in their latest release, Champion.

Speaking about their bond, Swapna Dutt says, “Whenever I call him about a role, he will just say Yes and doesn’t even want to listen to the story. He tells me that since I liked the story and was making it, he would do whatever is needed.”Getting emotional, she says, “Dulquer is like a brother to me. ”

Their association began with Mahanati, a blockbuster, followed by another major hit, Sita Ramam. The consistent success has built deep trust between them.

According to a source, Dulquer often seeks the advice of Swapna and Priyanka Dutt before signing a Telugu film. “He trusts them because they understand the pulse of the Telugu audience. Dulquer is very selective,” the source says. “Out of the many offers he received, he chose films like Lucky Bhaskar and Kaantha, and he takes his time to finalise a script.”
