The Delhi Police have denied security permission for Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concert scheduled for October 30, 2026, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

According to a letter addressed to ticketing platform BookMyShow by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South District), the request to host the Aura India Tour event was rejected due to specific threat-related inputs combined with multifarious security and law-and-order commitments during the ongoing festive season.

The concert, which marks the opening leg of Dosanjh’s India tour, was rescheduled from November 1 to October 30 out of respect for the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh violence. Security agencies had also reportedly received anonymous threatening emails referring to his upcoming stadium shows.

Neither the organisers nor the singer’s team has announced whether the Delhi concert will be cancelled or rescheduled.
