A Neckpiece Fit for God
Ranbir’s 335-gm ‘Kodanda’ necklace for Ramayana with `24 lakh of silver, brass
Ranbir Kapoor’s regal first look as Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s epic film Ramayana features an elaborate 335-gram necklace inspired by Lord Rama’s legendary bow, the ‘Kodanda’.
The intricate ornament was created by the film’s official jewellery designer, Tribe Amrapali. It serves as a visual symbol of Lord Rama’s spiritual identity and his glorious Suryavanshi lineage.
Crafted using premium silver and brass, it incorporates Dharma Chakra-inspired medallions, sun motifs representing the Surya Dynasty and the lotus. Delicate floral patterns drawing from descriptions of Mithila’s sacred gardens and the historic Pushp Vatika add to the splendour.
The centrepiece mirrors the ‘Kodanda’ bow, which represents dharma. Each component was custom-carved before final assembly.
