Vaibhav Sooryavanshi starred with a brilliant century against South Africa U-19 in the third Under-19 ODI on Wednesday.
Leading the side in the absence of Ayush Mhatre, the 14-year-old delivered a dominant batting display, bringing up his hundred in just 63 balls. Vaibhav went on to score a scintillating 127 off 74 deliveries, laced with nine fours and ten sixes.
Opening the innings alongside Aaron George, Vaibhav stitched together a massive 227-run partnership, laying a solid foundation for a huge team total.
Batting first, India U-19 posted an imposing 393/7 in 50 overs, with both openers registering centuries.
At the time of writing, South Africa U-19 are in deep trouble, reeling at 53/5 after 12 overs.
Heading into the match, India were already in control of the three-match Under-19 ODI series, holding a 2-0 lead over South Africa U-19.
