Abhishek Nayar bore the brunt of the BCCI as he was removed from the role of assistant coach for the senior men's side over team India's poor performance in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
However, Rohit and Nayar's association goes back long, it continued and prospered over the years. Just a day before Rohit's confident 26-run knock against SRH, he was spotted training with Nayar at MCA's BKC facility.
Their collaboration may get affected now since, Nayar joined KKR, a rival franchise.
Moreover, not just Rohit Sharma, Abhisek Nayar mentored many prominent players from the Indian team including KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who had their ups and downs.
Recently, KL Rahul openly gave a big shout out to Nayar and said he worked with him for hours in Bombay to improve his game.
