Hyderabad:The Hyderabad Cricket Association’s ‘A’ Division league-cum-knockout tournament produced several commanding batting performances, highlighted by A. Takshith Rao’s extraordinary unbeaten 163 off just 54 balls for Sporting XI and N. Surya Teja’s authoritative 142 for Central Excise.



 Sporting completed the most explosive chase in the division, reaching 253 in just 15 overs after Imperial had posted 250. Deccan Chronicle also benefited from a century, with Vishal Kommu scoring 111 in a total of 278.

Central Excise’s 371/7 was another major total, built around Surya Teja’s century and Shaumik Kapoor’s 94. However, the match also featured an outstanding bowling performance from MP Colts’ C. Tarun Kumar, who claimed 5/48 despite his team’s defeat. Elsewhere, Abrar Mohiuddin’s exceptional 5/10 helped restrict SBI to 129/8 before Balaaji completed a comfortable chase.

The ‘B’ Division delivered a series of high-scoring contests, outstanding individual centuries and remarkable bowling spells. Ensconse posted the division’s highest total, scoring 425 in 46.4 overs against Venus Cybertech. Md Junaid Ali’s 145 off 90 balls and Keshav Upadhay’s 100 off 104 balls headlined a formidable batting performance. Sameer then claimed 5/61.

Brothers XI produced another exceptional batting display to chase 297 against Saleemnagar. Syed Ubaid Ullah scored 130 off 90 balls, while Vasu Dev Sahoo made 109, giving Brothers XI two centurions in the same innings. Hyderabad Titans also benefited from a major individual contribution, with T. Shiva Rama Krishna scoring 130 off 120 balls in a victory over Postal. Bowling performances were equally influential, with several five-wicket hauls helping teams restrict or dismiss opponents.

The division also featured contrasting contests. Gouds XI were bowled out for just 14 in 7.5 overs against Kosaraju, with N. Sudheev Venkat taking 5/8. At the other end of the scoring spectrum, Apex posted 348, while HUCC completed a successful chase of 262 in 35 overs against Beema.

The ‘C’ Division featured several outstanding batting performances, led by Akshaj Goud’s 141 for Rushiraj and Aryan Singh’s 131 for Sungrace, who posted a formidable 336/7 in 47 overs, with Mokshith Jannu contributing a century of his own, scoring 101 off 91 balls. Rushiraj also crossed the 299-run mark.

Bowling performances played an equally important role. Mohd Anas claimed 6/35 for HCA District-1 against Starlets, while Surya T took 5/46 for Sungrace and FK Mujtaba returned 5/21 for M. L. Jaisimha.

The Boys Under-16 Super League featured substantial first-innings totals, promising batting performances and several notable individual contributions. Team ‘E’ posted 540 in 114.1 overs against Team ‘A’, while Team ‘F’ scored 520 in 154.3 overs against Team ‘D’. Both matches featured significant batting efforts, with the opposing sides building their replies through determined top-order contributions.

V. Anirudh Naik delivered one of the standout individual performances, scoring 128 off 96 balls for Team ‘C’ against Team ‘B’, including 16 fours and six sixes. Tej Charan also reached three figures for Team ‘D’, remaining unbeaten on 102, while Rakesh Shekar scored an unbeaten 102 for Team ‘A’. Naren Koka’s 5/97 for Team ‘F’ was the leading bowling performance.
