Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated Chikita Taniparti for striking gold in the U-21 Compound Women's Individual category at the World Youth Championship underway at Canada.
Chikita, belonging to Sultanpur village in Yeligedu mandal in Peddapalli district, beat Park Yeriyan of Korea in archery Under-21 category in the finals to win the gold medal. The Chief Minister said that Chikita's victory at the global event was a pride to the nation.
The CM said that she should be an inspiration to all the youth aspiring to succeed in life. Though she hails from a rural background in Telangana, she aimed high and achieved her goal with self-confidence, focus and strong determination. He congratulated Chikita's parents for identifying her talent and nurturing it since her childhood. He wished Chikita more laurels and recognition in the future.
