Star cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has decided not to preview or review any CSK matches on his YouTube channel for the reminder of IPL 2025.
A controversy snowballed last week, after a guest on the channel, Prasanna Agoram, a former data analyst, criticized CSK's decision to include wrist-spinner, Noor Ahmad in addition to Ashwin and Jadeja in the playing XI against Delhi Capitals.
"Given the nature of the discussions on this forum over the last week, we want to be mindful of how things can be interpreted and have chosen to step away from covering CSK games, both previews and reviews, for the rest of this season," the admin of the YT channel said in a statement.
Wide discussions across social media platforms forced removal of the video from Ashwin's channel.
On being asked about the views on Ashwin's channel, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming, said he doesn't even know if the spinner had a YouTube Channel and brushed it off as 'irrelevant'.
Meanwhile, CSK would next take on Punjab Kings on Tuesday.
