Hockey World League: Striker Rani Rampal to lead India women's team

Among those facing alleged financial woes are Jaypee Punjab Warriors, Uttar Pradesh Wizards and Delhi Waveriders, with the latter yet to pay its players full salaries for the 2017 season.

New Delhi: Striker Rani Rampal will lead an 18-member Indian women’s team at the Hockey World League Semi-Final that gets under way in Johannesburg on July 8.

Defender Sushila Chanu Pukhrambam has been named vice-captain. India are in Pool ‘B’ along with Argentina, South Africa, Chile and USA. India will face South Africa on July 8.
