S Pradeep Kumar recommended for Dronacharya award

Kochi: S. Pradeep Kumar, the coach of Olympic swimmer Sajan Prakash, has been recommended for the Dronacharya award. Sajan who made it to the Rio Olympics and competed in the men’s 200m butterfly stroke, failed to qualify for the semifinals. Shivani Kataria, who also qualified for Olympics, was also a ward of national coach Pradeep. N. Ramesh, the coach of sprinter Dutee Chand’s who participated in the Olympics has also been recommended for the Dronacharya Award.
