Hyderabad: Hyderabad Pickleball League (HPL) is gearing up for a blockbuster finale on 12th December—an evening that will bring together high-octane sport and soulful music, with the legendary Lucky Ali set to perform live during the championship night. The excitement follows an electrifying Playoff battle on 10th December at The League, Financial District, where four franchises fought through intense Eliminator and Qualifier matches. All Stars and Credicon Mavericks emerged as the top contenders, securing their place in the much-awaited title clash.

The Playoffs alone attracted over 1,500 spectators, adding to the league’s soaring cumulative attendance of more than 7,000 fans. With Finals footfall expected to exceed 9,000, HPL has firmly established itself as Hyderabad’s most vibrant new sporting movement. The atmosphere across match days has showcased how pickleball—once a niche, tournament-led sport—has grown into a community-driven cultural phenomenon in the city.

Co-founder of Centre Court Sports & Entertainment and the Hyderabad Pickleball League, *Vikrant Rao *, reflected on the league’s impact, sharing that the surge in support is shaping a new sporting ecosystem. “Pickleball has evolved into a nationally loved, community-led experience, and HPL has played a huge role in this transformation. Eight teams and nearly 180 local players have created a thriving ecosystem. HPL is not just sport—it’s entertainment, F&B, and pure community spirit.” he said.

This inaugural season featured eight dynamic franchises—All Stars, Credicon Mavericks, Keerthi Warriors, Nandi Chargers, The Raptors, Teramor Titans, Starry Smashers and Dasos Dynamos—each contributing to the league’s hyperlocal energy. Week after week since October, Fridays became a ritual across the city as fans gathered at different venues to cheer for their neighbourhood teams, enjoy food zones, halftime shows and live entertainment, turning HPL into a cultural experience beyond the court.

The finale is set to become even more memorable with a special half time show by Lucky Ali, whose performance will elevate the city’s biggest pickleball celebration into a festival of music and sport. His presence adds a new dimension to the championship night, promising fans an unforgettable blend of competition and soulful nostalgia.

Actor Sushanth, owner of the All Stars and one of the key personalities shaping the league’s cultural appeal, spoke about his team’s journey to the finals. “Being part of HPL as the owner of All Stars comes from my passion to bridge the gap between professional and amateur athletes. This is a project to build a strong pickleball community and produce exciting players. I’m grateful to Hyderabad Pickleball League and Centre Court for making this initiative possible, and I’m eagerly looking forward to the finale at The League on 12th December,” he said.

As pickleball gains global traction—with millions picking up the sport across Asia and beyond—Hyderabad is scripting its own chapter through HPL. The grand finale on 12th December promises not just a championship match, but a landmark sporting and cultural celebration for the city.
