Even at the age of 30, Robert Lewandowski comes with a hefty price tag.

Even at the age of 30, Robert Lewandowski comes with a hefty price tag. Prized possession of German giants Bayern Munich, Lewandowski has itchy feet, reports the Sun.

He is flirting with the idea of playing in top-flight English football, toying with a move to the Premier League at the end of the season.

With 97 league goals in nearly four seasons at Bayern, plus another 74 in a similar time frame at Borussia Dortmund, the effective foward has done his bit in the Bundesliga.

A fresh challenge is said to excite him. English football’s top clubs will be all over him from now on.

If Lewandowski can persuade Bayern to release him from a contract that runs to 2021, the scramble will be on.

In the monied and frenzied modern era, this fellow is a must-get. There is a growing feeling this could be his last year in Germany.

His wife Anna was seen familiarising herself with London last week when she arrived on a shopping expedition — for clothes, not houses. Yet!
