Bengaluru FC post a strong message on violence against women

Bengaluru: I-League defending champions Bengaluru FC on Saturday posted a strong message against the mass-molestation event that took place on the New Year’s Eve here.

Several women were molested on Bengaluru’s famous MG Road despite police presence. In the video posted by the club, skipper Sunil Chhetri, striker Daniel Lalhlimpuia and defender John James Johnson condemned the recent attacks on women.

The champions also swapped their blue home kit for pink in their inaugural match of the new I-League season against Shillong Lajong FC. The initiative was undertaken in solidarity with women and their safety.
