Spain were crowned FIFA World Cup 2026 champions after defeating Argentina 1-0 in extra time at the New York/New Jersey Stadium on Monday.
Along with the trophy, medals and championship rings, Spain were also awarded prize money for their triumph.
Last year, the FIFA Council approved a record-breaking financial contribution of $727 million for 2026 World Cup, of which $655 million was allocated as prize money among the 48 participating nations. This marked a 50% increase compared to the prize money distributed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
As champions, Spain will receive $50 million in prize money, while runners-up Argentina will take home $33 million.
