Team India is facing an injury scare ahead of their final Group A match in the Champions Trophy against New Zealand on Sunday.

The Indian camp, which intensely trained for almost three hours on Wednesday night, didn't see captain Rohit Sharma and vice captain Shubman Gill's participation. Though Rohit Sharma didn't take the nets, he was present at the ICC academy facility in Dubai, unlike Gill who was completely absent.
Though there is no official confirmation yet, a report on Cricbuzz claimed that Rohit Sharma has suffered a hamstring injury during India's encounter with Pakistan on February 23. However, his absence from the nets could be seen just as a precaution and not a sign of worry. Nevertheless, he might still go easy and take rest for the inconsequential game against the Black Caps, the report claimed.
On the other hand, Gill was resting at the hotel room as he was keeping unwell but he would be fit for the March 2 match against New Zealand.
The report further stated that Rishabh Pant has recovered from his fever and had batted for an extended period during the nets.
Meanwhile, both India and New Zealand have sealed a semi final spot after winning two out of their three group stage matches. The winner on Sunday would enter the semis as the undefeated side.
