Hyderabad: After four consecutive defeats, Hyderabad finally opened their account in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Saturday, securing a massive 136-run victory over Chandigarh.
Batting first, Hyderabad posted a competitive total of 286/9. Captain Tilak Varma led from the front with a brilliant century, scoring 109 off 118 balls (6 fours, 3 sixes). He was ably supported by Abhirath Reddy, who scored a fluent 71, while other batters struggled.
In reply, Chandigarh crumbled under pressure and were bundled out for just 150 in 37.4 overs. For Hyderabad, Chinthala Rakshan Reddy was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets, while Chama Milind and Nitish Reddy claimed 2 wickets each. Mohammed Siraj, Aniketh Reddy, and Varun Goud took one wicket apiece.

Batting first, Gujarat posted a massive 318/9 in 50 overs, riding on a spectacular 130 by Axar Patel (111 balls, 10 fours, 5 sixes). For Andhra, Satyanarayana Raju impressed with a 4-wicket haul.
Chasing a steep target, Andhra fought valiantly. CR Gnaneshwar scored a magnificent century (102), supported by SNV Prasad (48) and Srikar Bharat (39). However, they finished at 311/7, agonizingly close to the target. Gujarat’s Ravi Bishnoi took 3 wickets to seal the game.
