Hyderabad: Wednesday’s action in different matches of the Hyderabad Cricket Association threw up multiple performers.
The Hyderabad Under-23 men posted a substantial 345/8 in 78 overs, led by a superb century from R. Sai Sharan, who struck 121 from 91 balls with eight fours and 12 sixes. His power-packed innings was the defining contribution of the Hyderabad total, with Wafi Kachchhi unbeaten on 90.
The ‘C’ Division produced a high-scoring round highlighted by three centuries and a six-wicket haul. Mokshith Jannu (115), M. Amartya Reddy (112) and Siva Aditya Das Gupta (101 n.o) led the batting performances, while Akshith Goud’s 6/23 was the standout bowling return. Nikhil N and Yajnesh Tirupathi also claimed five-wicket hauls.
In the Senior Women’s T20 selection games, Team ‘I’ produced the strongest batting totals, winning both of their games. Niteesha K made 51 in the first match and later remained unbeaten on 39 as Team ‘I’ posted 137/4 and 167/6 respectively. Team ‘I’ also restricted Team ‘G’ to 88/4 and Team ‘F’ to 99/8.
Team ‘B’ defeated Team ‘E’ by 36 runs after posting 133, with P. Hansika Rao and Mamatha Madiwala both scoring 40. The lowest-scoring contest saw Team ‘E’ make 26/3 in seven overs and defeat Team ‘D’, who reached 23/2.
