Angkrish Raghuvanshi continued his breakthrough IPL 2026 campaign in style on Sunday, joining an elite list of youngsters who scored the most number of half centuries at the age of 21. With his latest knock for Kolkata Knight Riders, the 21-year-old has equalled the tally set by youngsters early in their career, underlining his consistency in one of KKR’s most important campaigns in recent years.

List of players with most number of 50+ scores before turning 22:

Rishabh Pant: Pant’s fearless IPL 2018 season for Delhi completely changed how people viewed young Indian T20 batters. The wicketkeeper-batter smashed 684 runs and brought up his sixth half-century during the latter half of the season becoming the first batter to do so before turning 22 and finishing as one of the most destructive batters during the 2018 season. Pant reached this milestone in just 31 innings of his career.

Yashasvi Jaiswal: Jaiswal’s breakout campaign in 2023 with Rajasthan Royals combined consistency with aggression at the top. His six 50+ scores included a century and several match winning knocks that season, announcing him as India’s next big T20 star. Yashasvi completed this milestone in a total of 37 matches from his career.

Devdutt Padikkal: In the IPL 2020 season, Padikkal impressed people with his consistency and elegant stroke play while playing for RCB, registering five 50+ scores that season in just 15 games, while continuing his rise as a dependable top-order batsman.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi: Raghuvanshi has emerged as one of KKR’s brightest performers in the 2026 season, matching Padikkal’s tally and moving level with some of the best young batting seasons seen in IPL history. Angkrish took a total of 20 matches in his career to reach the milestone.

While Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s rise has drawn comparisons with some of the brightest young batting talents in IPL history, Devdutt Padikkal still holds a unique distinction. The left-handed batter registered all five 50+ knocks in a single season during the IPL 2020, achieving this feat in just 15 innings at the age of 20, becoming the only batter from the list to do so.
