Chasing a daunting target, South Africa's innings stumbled early, losing their top three batters within 11 overs for just 33 runs. The batters struggled against the pacers and found it even harder to cope when Kaur introduced the spinners. Only Sune Luus, Tazmin Brits, Marizanne Kapp, and Sinalo Jafta managed to reach double figures. The batting unit faltered against India's formidable bowling attack.

India's bowlers were outstanding throughout the match. The pacers set the stage for the spinners, who dominated the game. Asha Sobhana, Deepti Sharma, and Radha Yadav shared seven wickets, conceding only 63 runs in 24.4 overs. Renuka Singh and Pooja Vastrakar also contributed with one wicket each.

A stellar batting performance, followed by a dominant display from the bowlers, secured a 1-0 lead for India Women in the series as they outclassed the visitors by 143 runs.
