India's Under-19 team secured a dominant 90-run victory against archrivals Pakistan in a rain-affected Asia Cup encounter, marking their second consecutive win in the tournament. The match was reduced to 49 overs per side, but India delivered a comprehensive all-round performance.
Batting first, India was bowled out for 240 in 46.1 overs. Opener Aaron George anchored the innings with a well-made 85 off 88 balls, including 12 fours and a six. He was supported effectively by Kanshik Chauhan, who scored a run-a-ball 46 (two fours, three sixes), and Ayush Matre, who contributed a quick-fire 38 off 25 balls (four fours, three sixes). Abhigyan Kundu added 22, while the centurion from the previous match, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, fell for 5.
Pakistan's bowling attack was led by Mohammad Sayyam with three wickets, while Abdul Subhan and Nikab Shafiq took two wickets each. Ahmed Hussain and Ali Raza chipped in with one wicket apiece.
Chasing the target, Pakistan struggled throughout their innings and were eventually dismissed for 150 in 41.2 overs. Huzaifa Ahsan offered the lone resistance with a fighting 70 off 83 deliveries, featuring nine fours and two sixes. However, he received minimal support, as only Farhan Yousuf (23) and Usman Khan (16) managed to reach double figures.
India's bowlers shared the wickets to seal the convincing victory. Deepesh Devendran and Kanshik Chauhan were the most successful, claiming three wickets each. Kishan Kumar Singh took two wickets, with Khilan Patel and Vaibhav Suryavanshi adding one apiece.
