Hyderabad: The opening day of the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s Senior Men’s Multi-Day Super League produced a strong batting-dominated set of performances, encapsulated by centuries from four batsmen.

Bhavesh Seth (167 not out) set the tone for the day, while Rahul Singh G (125), Aaron George Varghese (120) and Wafi Kachchhi (107) also crossed three figures in impressive displays.

The Under-19 Men’s selections matches were dominated by extraordinary run-scoring, with Aditya Vardhan’s unbeaten double century (202) standing head and shoulders above a series of outstanding individual performances.

Shaik Rehaan Roshan (150) of Team ‘F’ was the next best with his second successive century in two days — he had made 104 against Team ‘C’ on Monday.

Namaan Dayala (124, Ved Reddy A (6/29), Jashwanth Mote (112), S. Guru Vidhwan (101) and Sai Tanish C (107) also did well in the U-19 games.

The ‘C’ Division league delivered exceptional individual performances, headed by Vaibhav Agarwal’s explosive unbeaten 126 from 74 balls and a series of other centuries.

Bowling also produced several clinical five-wicket hauls. Mayur Shetty Kumar’s remarkable 5/10 was the best of the round, while M. A. Haseeb Ahmed (5/21), Karthik Javvaji (5/22), Mithilesh Kumar Y (5/29) and Avnish Mhetre (5/55) also claimed five wickets.
