Advith, Chandra, Aaron, Shakeer Hit Double Tons In Cricket League

Rahul Radhesh led the ‘A’ Division scorers with a magnificent 167 for MP Colts. His 207-ball innings contained eight fours and nine sixes. Dheeraj Goud was equally prominent for Deccan Wanderers, striking 161 from 201 balls with 19 fours and four sixes. Imperial posted the day’s biggest total in the division — 459, with S. Loknath Naik contributing a rapid 130 from just 129 balls, including nine fours and nine sixes.

Century-makers also featured prominently elsewhere. Jai Ram Kashyap made 114 for Budding Star, Prajwal Koudipally hit 105 for Hyderbad Bottling and Murugan Abhishek scored 101 for Deccan Chronicle.

The leading bowling effort came from S. Abdur Rahman (6/52) of R. Dayanand. Abdul Ela Al Quraishi’s 5/88 for MP Colts and Tanay Thyagarajann’s 5/48 for Sporting XI were the other five-wicket hauls.

The ‘B’ Division produced an extraordinary run-scoring day, headlined by Team Speed’s enormous 746/8 in 90 overs. Advith Reddy led the assault with a spectacular 256 from only 148 balls, featuring 33 fours and 12 sixes. Koushik Reddy added 171 from 133 balls and Vimal Dev struck 119 from 98, giving Speed three centurions in the same innings.

Warangal District also enjoyed a dominant batting display, reaching 432/7 through an unbeaten 238 from Narra Chandra.

Postal and Mahmood delivered further huge totals. Mohammed Ahmed Shakeer remained unbeaten on 207 for Postal, while N Jyothi Krishna added 166 in a 480/4 declaration. T Aaron Paul then matched the 207 mark for Mahmood, remaining unbeaten and striking 33 fours in his 172-ball innings.

Deccan Arsenal’s Manoj Kumar and Rakesh XI’s Midun Mote each scored a 150 while Oxford Blues featured centuries from G. Parthiv Varma (138) and Avula Nikhsith (114).

The bowling highlights were equally significant. Md Muqeeth Uddin and Vamshi Krishna Nunnagoppula both took 6 for 47, while a long list of bowlers completed five-wicket hauls. Among those, R. Pranav Adithyam’s 5/31, Gopala Varun’s 5/28, Shashank Sonthalia’s 5/44 and Ankit Agarwal’s 5/37 were particularly economical.
