Chirec International School boys are all smiles after winning the Under 12 title at the 25th Padma Bhushan Col C. K. Nayudu junior cricket tournament at the Sports Coaching Foundation in Masab Tank, Hyderbad. In the final, Chirec beat SCF Blues by five wickets.

Hyderabad: Chirec International School defeated SCF Blues in the under-12 final at the 25th Padmabhushan Col. C. K. Nayudu Junior Cricket tournament held at the Sports Coaching Foundation in Hyderabad.

Chasing 55 runs for a win, Chirec reached the target with five wickets in hand and with an over to spare. Anirudh top-scored with 19. Earlier, Abhi Raj picked up 3/18 to restrict SCF Blues to 54/4. Anil top-scored for SCF with 21.

Meanwhile in the U-14 final, SCF Blues defeated Chirec International by 25 runs to win the title.

With the help of Nihal’s 20 and Barkadh’s 16, SCF posted 69 for the loss of one wicket in their stipulated overs.

In the second innings, Ibrahim shone with the red cherry, picking 4/22 as Chirec were bowled out for just 44 in seven overs.

Ibrahim and Abhi were named man of the match in the under-14 and under-12 finals respectively.
