Mumbai: A dominant Indian team celebrated a 224-run victory against West Indies in the fourth ODI at the Brabourne Stadium here on Monday. The series is now 2-1 in favour of Virat Kohli’s men with one match to be played.

After Rohit Sharma’s knock of 162 which led the hosts to 377-5, it was the turn of the bowlers to do their job as Khaleel Ahmed (3/13) and Kuldeep Yadav (3/42) were the impressive picks.

Captain Jason Holder was Windies’ top run-scorer and the Indians gave no room for improvement to the visitors to build a strong partnership.

As a result, Holder was the lone survivor in the end as he remained unbeaten on 54 runs as the rest of the batting lineup fell like nine pins.

India innings

Rohit Sharma may have missed out on his fourth double hundred in ODIs, but his knock of 162 in the fourth ODI against West Indies led India to a massive total of 377-5 at the Brabourne Stadium here on Monday.

India won the toss and elected to bat. While Shikhar Dhawan built a 71-run stand with Rohit before being dismissed for 38, it was not captain Virat Kohli’s day as he was seen off for 16 runs by Kemar Roach.

However, from then on Rohit and Ambati Rayudu did the damage as they put up a 211-run partnership for the third wicket.

Rohit looked set for another double ton, but was dismissed by Ashley Nurse in the 44th over.

Despite this, Ambati Rayudu went onto make his third ODI ton as the hosts powered towards a strong total.

MS Dhoni, meanwhile, struggled to find form despite getting off to a strong start ashe was dismissed for 23 by Roach courtesy a Chandrapaul Hemraj catch.

Kemar Roach finished his 10-over spell with 2-74, whereas Ashley Nurse and Keemo Paul had spells of 1-57 and 1-88 respectively.

India 355/5 from 48.3 overs:

WICKET! MS Dhoni departs. Soft dismissal as Dhoni's flick lands straight into the hands of the short fine-leg. Kemar Roach strikes.

India 344/4 from 47.1 overs:

WICKET! Run-out! Stunning way to end a fine innings from Ambati Rayudu. Allen, the bowler, runs towards his left, picks up the ball and hits the stumps.

India 344/3 from 47 overs:

HUNDRED! Well played, Ambati Rayudu! The dressing room is on its feet. Kohli is grinning. India's number four has scored a hundred. He dabs one to the point and with Dhoni, he is guaranteed to get a run to reach his third three-figure mark in ODIs.

India 312/3 from 44 overs:

WICKET! No fourth ODI double hundred for Rohit Sharma! Ashley Nurse has struck to end a fantastic innings. He lasted for 137 balls and scored 162 runs to notch up his seventh 150+ score in ODI cricket.

India 199/2 from 33 overs:

HUNDRED! Well played, Rohit Sharma! He brings up his second hundred of this series and 21st in ODI cricket. He is looking at ease and set for another daddy ton. 4th double hundred, anyone?

India 119-2 after 21.2 overs

FIFTY! It's half-century number 37 in ODIs for Rohit Sharma.

India 101-2 after 16.4 overs

WICKET! The crowd at Brabourne Stadium is stunned into silence as Virat Kohli is dismissed for 16 runs by Kemar Roach courtesy a fine catch by wicketkeeper Shai Hope. Not the outing the Indian captain would have wanted.

India 71/1 from 11.5 overs:

WICKET! Keemo Paul has given West Indies their first breakthrugh. Shikhar Dhawan has thrown away another good start. Easy work for the mid-wicket fielder as Dhawan hits one straight into his hands.

India 51/0 from 8 overs:

FIFTY UP! Shikhar Dhawan did take some time as Rohit Sharma hit a couple of fours and a six. But the southpaw has upped the ante as India have brought up their fifty in eight overs, with Dhawan scoring 32 runs.

Virat Kohli has won the toss and India have elected to bat as international cricket (men's) returns to Cricket Club of India (CCI) after a while as India take on West Indies in the fourth ODI here on Monday, with the five-match series is still up for grabs.

Kedar Jadhav, who has made a comeback to the Indian side after recovering from an injury, and Ravindra Jadeja have replaced Rishabh Pant and Yuzvendra Chahal in the playing XI while West Indies have picked Keemo Paul to replace Obed McCoy.

While Virat Kohli has been a standout performer in the series with a hat-trick of hundreds, the Jason Holder-led unit has put in a fine show, with disallowing India wins in the last two games, with a tie in Vizag and a 43-run win in Pune to level the series.

While Kohli's men will be keen to take an unassailable lead at the Brabourne Stadium, the visitors will be eager to keep India win-less in the three consecutive games. Although Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer will once again hold a key to Windies batting, the openers and the experienced Marlon Samuels will need to fire with the bat.

For India, while Kohli-led top order has largely been consistent, middle-order's lack of consistency is a cause of concern and with Kedar Jadhav back in the mix, India will be hoping to plug a hole in the middle-order.
