Tanmay, Yathin, Saketh steal show in top division league

Tanay Tyagarajan (4 for 137) and Bhagath Varma (4 for 147) were the pick of the bowlers for Sporting XI and Dayanand respectively.

Hyderabad: The top division league of the Hyderabad Cricket Association witnessed some blitzkrieg batting performance from Tanmay Agarwal and B. Yathin Reddy while P. Saketh Sai Ram shone with the ball.

Left-handed Tanmay struck 140 in 164 balls including 19 boundaries and a six to take Sporting XI’s second innings total to 420 for the loss of eight wickets in their draw with R. Dayanand CC, for whom Yathin made 113 that included 16 fours and two sixes.

Saketh Sai Ram’s five-wicket haul brought Andhra Bank to their knees in their first innings, even as the match ended in a draw. Earlier, Jai Hanuman declared their first innings at 512 for the loss of seven wickets.

With the batsmen doing a fine job, the bowlers too showed no mercy to their opponents. Ram put Andhra Bank batsmen in a spin during his 5 for 125 in 34.3 overs which included seven maidens. Shubahm Bist also lent support by claiming 3 wickets.
