Bengaluru: Riding on Abhishek Ahlawat’s five-wicket haul, Moffusil XI were bowled out for 239 against Combined City XI on Day One of the SA Srinivasan Memorial two-day cricket tournament for U-23 here on Friday.

Batting first at the Alur (1) grounds, Moffusil’s Shreyas (92) missed out on a century while Preetham (31) chipped in with his bit. Giving good support to Ahlawat, Deepesh Poonia picked up three wickets while left-arm spinner Shimon Luiz grabbed two.

At the Alur (3) grounds, Bangalore City were guided by Mashooq Hussain (88) and Harish Kumar’s (57) knocks as they scored 295 for 9 in 90 overs against Bangalore Zone for whom Aditya Somanna picked up 3/46. In reply, the Zone lads were 35 for one in 8 overs with Rahul Kashyap unbeaten on 34.
