Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bangalore were over the moon after AB de Villiers powered them to their third IPL final with a win over Gujarat Lions in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

The celebrations though turned sour after Yuzvendra Chahal and Sarfaraz Khan knocked off South African cricketer’s helmet. The Indian duo made a dash towards AB after RCB got over the line against the Suresh Raina-led side at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

But it seems the joy of sealing a place in the final got the better off Chahal as he dislodged AB’s helmet in a nasty collision.

While AB looked utterly shaken, with a spot of blood on his chin, after the clash, he held his composure during the post-match presentation ceremony and the press conference.

Chahal, who was picked in Indian squad for the series against Zimbabwe, later took to Twitter and apologised de Villiers.
