Hyderabad: A. Varun Goud scored a composed century to put Hyderabad in driver’s seat on Day One in their fifth round Cooch Behar Trophy Group ‘D’ match against Team A & A here at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Batting first, Hyderabad’s Ajay Dev Goud contributed with his 58 while Varun used 153 balls and 16 fours to hit an unbeaten 114 as the home side finished the day’s play at a commanding score of 311 for 5. Earlier, M.S.R. Charan and Pragnay Reddy departed at the scores of 25 and 32 respectively. Aarish Zaidi too failed to contributed big and was sent packing for 30. Alfred Hamar picked two wickets for A & A.
