Mumbai: Anushka Sharma on Saturday scolded a man after she caught him littering on the streets. The whole incident, which was recorded by her husband Virat Kohli went viral on social media and received mixed responses.

The Bollywood actress pulled up the passer-by in a chauffeur-driven sedan asking him to use a dustbin. "Why are you throwing garbage on the road, you cannot just throw plastic on the streets just like that," Anushka can be heard saying.

Calling on other citizens to be responsible, Team India skipper Virat Kohli captioned his video saying, “Saw these people throwing garbage on the road and pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right!!! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same and spread awareness."

Anushka became a subject of trolls and memes and her husband came out in support of her once again. "Lot of people who don't have the courage to do something like this find it funny. Everything for people nowadays is meme content. Shame," the flamboyant right-hander mentioned in another tweet.

However, the man at the receiving end, identified as Arrhan Singh, has given his two cents on the whole incident. He apologised for his carelessness but has now ranted against the couple.

That wasn’t it. Arhhan’s mother, Gittanjali Elizabeth also hit back at the duo calling it a cheap publicity stunt.
