Glenn Maxwell may have kept the Indian cricket team on its toes on the field, but off-field the Australian all-rounder is bowled over by an Indian-origin pharmacist. The cricketer has been in a long-term relationship with Melbourne-based, Vini Raman, and the couple has taken their relationship on to the next level by getting engaged recently, that too in the Indian style.
In the pictures from the traditional Indian engagement ceremony doing rounds on the Internet, Maxwell is seen wearing blue sherwani, sending his Indian fans into a frenzy. Holding hands with her ladylove, who is seen in a matching green embellished lehenga, Maxwell and the fiancé make up for a perfect couple. Vini even captioned the picture hilariously when she wrote, “Last night we celebrated our Indian engagement and I gave @gmaxi_32 a little teaser of what the wedding will be like (sic).”
On the work front, Maxwell was supposed to participate in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Kings XI Punjab, but with the coronavirus outbreak, the cricket league has been postponed till April 15.
