Bhopal: A video showing India cricket team R.P. Singh snatching a fan’s cell phone and throwing it on the ground during the Mumbai-Gujarat final Ranji Trophy match played in Holkar stadium in Indore in Madhya Pradesh has gone viral inviting brickbats for him in the social media.

The pace bowler, in a rare show of annoyance with the fans on the field, on Sunday took away the cell phone of a child who was requesting for a selfie with him at the top of his voice.

The Gujarat cricketer who played 14 tests, 58 One Day Internationals and 10 Twenty20s for India was fielding at the boundary when the little fans tried to draw his attention by shouting in a chorus and asking him oblige them for selfies with him.

Apparently annoyed with the distracting noises, the cricketer approached them and snatched away the cell phone of the one of the fans and threw it on the ground, much to the little cricket buff’s disappointment.

This was perhaps one of the rare occasions when the fast bowler, otherwise known for his sauve nature, lost his cool. The video got seven lakh hits in Youtube. Majority of his fans have expressed disappointment with his “unkind” behaviour towards the little fans.
