Hyderabad: Sporting XI’s attacking batsman Himalay Agarwal thrashed the rival bowling to bits with a belligerent 138 not out to take Thursday’s honours in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s top division league.

The scathing attack by Himalay boosted Sporting XI to 250 for 4 against Deccan Chronicle. The right handed batsman smashed 20 boundaries and a couple of sixes while facing 159 balls. Mir Jaweed Ali played second fiddle to his teammate by scoring an unbeaten 52 as they stitched a good partnership.

In another clash, Hyderabad Bottling rode on Jayaram Reddy’s 97 as the team posted 170 for 3 in reply to the India Cements 197. Unfortunately, Jayaram fell three runs short of century. Teammate Vinay Goud contributed 36 runs.
