President's XI clinch U-19 title

Bengaluru: Vinay Murgesh starred with a seven-wicket as President’s XI drew with Combined City XI in the final league clash to emerge champions in the KSCA Inter-Zonal U-19 cricket tournament.

President’s XI topped the table with 15 points to take home the trophy.
In the drawn game at RSI, President’s XI were bowled out for 182. Sujay SS topped the scoring charts with 68 while Vikshay Ronald made 41. Kushal Gowda bagged three wickets while Aman Khan and Abhishek Poll shared two each.

In reply, Murgesh’s destructive spell crashed Combined City for 158 to help President’s XI grab a 24-run lead. Jeswanth Acharya made 60 while Rishi Bopanna contributed 44. Supporting Murgesh, Shivakumar BU took two wickets.
President’s XI top-order fired in the second innings to finish at 281 for 5 at close on the final day. Devdutt Padikkal (92) and Shrikara (95) missed out on centuries as President’s XI settled for a draw.
