Mumbai: Star Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is not only restricted to the sport of cricket; in fact, the ‘Turbanator’ also likes to play an age-old Indian version of cricket – ‘gilli danda’.

Recently, Harbhajan, who is currently playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians, was seen playing gilli danda in Mumbai, a day after his side’s win over Kolkata Knight Riders.

MI medium pacer Hardik Pandya shared a picture of himself with Harbhajan, Lasith Malinga, and Mitchell McClenaghan.

Harbhajan also shared a video of his gilli danda skills, as he smashes the ‘gilli’ out of the park.

The 36-year-old said in his post that gilli danda was his childhood sport, and judging by this massive hit, we are pretty convinced of his mastery in this sport.

Gilli danda is a sport that is similar to cricket. The player (Harbhajan in this case), has to lob the small wooden bail, or ‘gilli’ into the air, before smashing it with a wooden baton as far as possible.
