Mumbai set for Ranji milestone

They will become the first ever team to play 500 matches in the domestic event.

Mumbai: Mumbai will make history on Thursday when they take on Baroda in the Group C Ranji Trophy game at the Wankhede stadium. They will become the first ever team to play 500 matches in the domestic event.

MCA felicitated former captains including the likes of Madhav Apte, Sachin Tendulkar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Ajit Wadekar, Sudhir Naik and Sanjay Manjrekar.  
Sachin termed Mumbai’s Ranji success as phenomenal. “To be precise, Mumbai have won 47 per cent of matches,” he said.
